Rapid Games Launches on Whatnot With a Factory-Sealed Pokémon Energy Break
Built by Collectors. Powered by the Chase.
Rapid Games is officially hitting Whatnot — and we’re kicking things off with exactly the kind of break we built this company around.
For our Whatnot launch, we’re cracking an untouched factory-sealed cardboard case of Pokémon Poké Ball Tins live on stream.
Not six loose tins pulled from a shelf.
Not a hand-selected assortment of packs.
One sealed factory case. Six Poké Balls. Eighteen booster packs. One live break.
And there’s another layer of mystery: the case will contain three of four possible Pokémon TCG sets, but we won’t know exactly which three are inside until we cut the factory seal live.
The Factory-Sealed Poké Ball Case
Inside the sealed case are:
- 6 factory-sealed Pokémon Poké Ball Tins
- 3 Pokémon booster packs per Poké Ball
- 18 total booster packs
The possible sets are:
- Journey Together
- Perfect Order
- Surging Sparks
- Twilight Masquerade
Only three of those four sets will be present in the sealed case.
That means nobody — including us — knows exactly what combination we’re ripping until the case is opened live.
That factory-sealed mystery is a big part of what makes this break special.
We're Running It as an 8-Spot Random Energy Break
Rather than assigning buyers individual Pokémon, characters, or sets, this break uses the eight Basic Energy types.
The eight spots are:
- 🌿 Grass Energy
- 🔥 Fire Energy
- 💧 Water Energy
- ⚡ Lightning Energy
- 🔮 Psychic Energy
- 👊 Fighting Energy
- 🌑 Darkness Energy
- ⚙️ Metal Energy
Each buyer receives one randomly assigned Energy spot.
Then we start ripping packs.
Your Energy Wins the Entire Pack
This is where the break gets fun.
Every booster pack contains a Basic Energy card.
That Basic Energy determines who wins the entire contents of that booster pack.
⚡ Lightning Energy
If we reveal a Lightning Energy, the owner of the Lightning spot receives every card in that pack.
🔥 Fire Energy
Fire Energy?
The Fire spot takes the whole pack.
